Tubing

Yesterday we took the kids tubing. We're still old school and use the horses instead of a four wheeler.

NFR trip

Josh and I went to Vegas last weekend and went to the NFR (National Finals Rodeo for you non-cowboys). We went with Jade and Amanda Cowley. We always have so much fun hanging out with them. (Thanks for being such great friends!!)

We went to two rounds of the rodeo while we were there. One of our favorite parts of the NFR is the awards ceremony they hold each night. They hold it in a little dance hall and usually it is only a couple hundred people including the contenstants and their families. Seeing the cowboys and their families in such an intimate setting is really cool. I love that professional cowboys are so down to earth and family oriented.

The kids stayed with my parents while we were in Vegas. They had a a blast hunting for arrowheads on the mountain. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma!!

Grayce's Dance recital

Grayce had her first dance recital a few days ago. She did so good. Her class danced to Frosty the Snowman. She loved being front and center. She will be starting a new dance class after the first of the year. She is so excited!!

We also went on the mountain a few weeks ago and cut a christmas tree. The kids were bummed that there wasn't any snow. It sure was muddy.

Disneyland and the beach

We went to Disneyland and to the beach this past week. We went with my whole entire family. 22 of us. We had lots of fun!! Everyone loved the beach and of course Disneyland. My kids loved spending time with their cousins and grandma and grandpa. We ate Thanksgiving dinner in St George at my sister's house. (Thanks Stacy!) It was a fun week, but we sure are glad to be home.

Kody was ordained a deacon today. (Oh yes .....his birthday was a few weeks ago. I forgot to update.) He is growing up so fast. I'm a year away from having a teenager. Scary!! We are so proud of him.

Sunday 9 November 2008

This weekend we went to Grandma Evans' house and played in the leaves. The kids loved this "chore".

Brady lost a tooth this week and has been showing off his boxer smile ever since.

Brady, Grayce and Libby trick or treating at aunt Jill's house. They love to go there.

Kody is so dressed up for Halloween.

Trip to Las Vegas

Ok...I know it has been awhile since I last updated. I'm not very good at this stuff. I'm still learning how to do everything. Things are going good with our family. We just got back from a family vacation to Las Vegas. Well....sort of a vacation, Josh work and the kids and I played. We had lots of fun!! Brady keeps telling everyone about his "1st trip to lost vegas". He is funny. He was a little bit disappointed when he found out the rodeo (NFR) wasn't there though. We did alot of things while in Vegas. We saw the Pirate show, the dolphins, went to M&M world and Fremont street. The kids had a blast. Oh yeah....we did A LOT of swimming.

The kids are doing well. Kody, Brady and Grayce are doing well in school. Kody and Brady are looking forward to Basketball starting and Grayce is loving dance. Libby will be turning a year in few weeks!!!

Josh is in England this week. Then he will go to China and Japan after that. He will be gone most of October and some of Novemeber. Is his traveling ever going to stop??? I'm getting really good at being a single parent. Well I'm going to try and post some pictures.....if I can figure things out that is.

Josh in England

Greetings from Woking. I'm spending most of my summer in Woking, England. Woking was the home of H.G. Wells, author of War of the Worlds. No, I didn't know that before I got here and I won't remember in six months. The picture at the left is one of the aliens Tom Cruise wasn't able to blow up in the movie.

I'm about 30 miles out of London. Last week I went into London on an "off the beaten path" bike tour. I toured with a couple of my buddies, Antonio and Tiziana, from here in England. We didn't see a lot of the touristy attractions, but we did visit a 100 year old bagel shop, an fantastic Italian pizza parlor, and an exact replica of the pub where Shakespear first directed his plays.
